Our daughter attended this nursery for just under a year, and sadly had to leave last week as we have moved to a different city. She was 1 when she started and loved nursery, she turned from a baby into a confident, curious and playful toddler whilst here. The staff are all so welcoming and we loved the emphasis on training at the nursery. It's a small setting with a lovely garden and fun activities every day. Many of our daughters first words were the names of staff which she loves to say every day! Special thanks to the owners Steve and Ellen who made us and our daughter feel so welcome and for providing this homely nursery in the community for nearly 30 years. We'll miss you all!

My daughter has attended for two years and now my son with her for six months. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of care. They are both excited to go every day and come home with big smiles and new skills. They love the food and the wide range of activities (yoga, sign language, French, instruments, messy play). We feel very lucky to have this so close to home!

My daughter joined the setting when she was almost 3 years old and immediately settled in well. She formed an amazing bond with her key person who she could not stop talking about. She transformed from a shy little girl to a very confident, chatty and playful girl in the setting. My husband and I particularly loved the variety of activities the children engage in from weekly French and Yoga lessons to tea-parties, fancy dress, etc We loved how the kids interests were supported e.g. my daughter loves drawing and mark-making and was confidently writing various letters of the alphabet within her first month (e.g. she would write the letter A and say "mummy, an A is up, down and across!") The manager is so friendly, informative and understanding as are all the staff I encountered! The parent app is amazing and is updated every day without fail which was great. I could go on and on but will end by saying that I highly recommend Grove Park Nursery and Pre-school!

I have two children that attended the nursery for approaching two years. The owner took over management after the previous manager left. I raised in an email that the Ofsted framework had not been followed regarding their decisions after a behaviour incident. I also raised that it was inappropriate that my child be called wicked. I was called in to a meeting the same day on pick up with no notice. Where the owner defended her use of the word wicked, got cross about me mentioning Ofsted and then told me to remove both of my children immediately and never come back. This is massively traumatic for the children and again doesn’t follow the Ofsted framework. I have reported them to Ofsted, the council and my MP because children shouldn’t be treated in this way because a parent asked some questions. Wanted to share my experience before you put your child here.

My daughter attended this nursery 4 years ago and it was such a nice place with key workers so caring. Since I moved I’ve yet to find a nursery as nice as this one for my youngest. I choose this over another outstanding nursery which was down the road and I really made the right choice for my girl. It’s a wonderful place for kids who are really cared and look after.
