About this day nursery

Grow Learn Play Project CIC provides a stimulating and educational environment for children aged 0-11 years, alongside offering various family-focused activities. The nursery is set within a large, purpose-built facility featuring extensive gardens for play.

Embracing the Curiosity Approach, the nursery encourages child-led development through the use of real-life objects, fostering a nurturing and home-like atmosphere. The nursery is divided into four main age groups: Baby Cubs (0-18 months), Baby Bears (18-30 months), Bears (30 months-3 years), and Spectacle Bears (the final nursery year before school).

Additionally, the centre offers a holiday club primarily for primary school-aged children, from their last summer before school through to the end of primary school. The project aims to deliver exceptional care and education in a secure and enjoyable environment, respecting the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of all families.

The nursery also specialises in inclusive care for children with special educational needs, supporting each child's development at their individual pace with the help of qualified and experienced staff. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their children's learning, facilitated by an open-door policy.

Our ethos

Our aim is to offer excellent care and education in a fun, safe environment, taking into consideration the background and beliefs of all of our families. We are also specialise in providing inclusive care for children with special educational needs. Children are encouraged to develop to their own full potential and at their own pace with the support and care of our qualified and experienced staff. We encourage parents to be involved in their children’s learning, and our open door policy means you are welcome to come and visit at any time.

What it's like

Children are happy and have fun at the setting. They show that they enjoy the company of the staff and relate to them well. Overall, children play well together and are forming some good friendships. Staff support children's self-confidence effectively, as they regularly praise and encouraged them. Staff build respectful relationships with the children, and they give them a good amount of support, which enables them to feel safe.

Children are happy and have fun at the setting. They show that they enjoy the company of the staff and relate to them well. Overall, children play well together and are forming some good friendships. SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress in their learning. The setting's special educational needs coordinator has a good understanding of her role and responsibilities to support children. She works effortlessly with parents and professionals, including the setting's family support worker, to ensure a consistent approach to supporting children with SEND.

Outdoor space

All children have good opportunities to develop their physical skills. Toddlers learn how to navigate space and develop their coordination as they use hula hoops and ride on bikes. The inspectors observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

brought my toddler to the stay and play and he loved it. the stay and play staff were friendly and helpful. they had many different toys covering many different learning areas which was impressive
