About this day nursery

Growing Places @ Merryfields offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Located in a former Children's Centre beside Fareham Academy School, this nursery opened in April 2018 and provides ample opportunities for children to learn and develop at their own pace.

The bright, airy setting promotes growth through play, while a large outdoor area ensures children can enjoy activities regardless of the weather. Healthy eating is a priority, with fresh, seasonal produce used for daily home-cooked lunches.

As a not-for-profit company, Growing Places @ Merryfields aims to be fair in its fee structure, which is reviewed annually every April with potential adjustments for inflation or unforeseen business factors. Parents are encouraged to participate in these fee reviews.

The nursery offers flexibility with session times and provides a 10% reduction for a second child attending the same sessions.

What it's like

Children show that they feel comfortable at nursery and confidently express their opinions. They are excited to engage in realistic role play and independently choose toys. Staff help children to perfect skills across the curriculum, and babies are eager to experiment from an early age.
