How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive excellent levels of support. Staff work closely with external professionals and regularly meet to discuss different strategies, targets and children's progress. A robust commitment to inclusion ensures that children with SEND are very well supported, with staff implementing well-researched teaching strategies that provide immediate, effective intervention. This support is seamlessly integrated into the daily routine, with staff making purposeful adaptations to the environment and daily routines, such as consistent use of visual timetables and adapting resources for specific children during sports sessions.

Outdoor space

Children have frequent opportunities to learn outdoors, including tennis lessons with a trained coach and playing with bikes and ride-on toys to develop physical skills. They are encouraged to adopt healthy and active lifestyles through frequent forest school sessions and daily outdoor play, and children engage in daily, high-energy challenges beyond structured ball games, refining their gross motor skills by navigating trikes and scooters. Outdoor experiences are matched by a sophisticated understanding of personal safety and healthy living, as children are taught to assess risks while using equipment and understand why physical activity is vital for their bodies.

EAL / language support

Staff use sensory resources and visual cues to ensure that children who speak English as an additional language can navigate the curriculum with the same confidence as their peers. Children with English as an additional language are well supported through adapted teaching and close partnership with professionals, with explicit modelling of social language for sharing and expressing emotions.
