Haltwhistle Little Star is a nurturing nursery located in Haltwhistle, dedicated to providing a safe and stimulating environment for young children. The nursery is thoughtfully segmented into two key areas: 'Little Sparkles' for the youngest children, offering a quiet space for rest and a vibrant area filled with age-appropriate toys, and 'Twinkle Stars' for children over two, which features dedicated spaces for a variety of child-led activities including creative play, role-playing, construction, and group sessions.
The environments are continually evolving to ensure a stimulating and relevant experience, with children actively involved in creating new displays. A key person system is in place to provide each child with a consistent and supportive adult connection, easing their transition into the group and fostering a strong link with parents.
Daily planning is highly individualised, accommodating each child’s unique needs, from sleep schedules to feeding preferences, with a dedicated sleep room, changing area, and separate spaces for meals. The nursery prioritises healthy eating, offering top-up breakfasts, homemade lunches, teas, and snacks.
Communication with parents is enhanced through the Famly app, which provides regular updates on children’s dietary intake, nappy changes, sleep patterns, and developmental milestones.
