What it's like to attend

Leaders are ambitious for every child, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, to make good progress.

Outdoor space

When playing outside, children build their physical development, such as by using tricycles and push-along resources to build their strength. They balance on boards with staff's support, who encourage them to keep trying. Children enjoy exploring the environment around them and dig for insects, using magnifying glasses to observe them.

EAL / language support

Staff support children to build their language, including children who speak English as an additional language.

Our son has been going to Hanwell Montessori for over a year now and we couldn't be happier with the nursery. The staff are all friendly and engaged with his well being. We feel very safe and secure knowing he is being well looked after thought-out the day by staff who care about him. We like the App that they use which keeps us updated on his activities and shares with us picture of him and the cooked meals he is having. A line from one of their recent Ofsted report has always stuck with me: "Babies are happy, settled and show a real sense of belonging." This has been our lived experience and we are very happy he has been so well welcomed into the nursery.

I have a 3 year old and 1 year old both attending since they were around 11months old respectively. The nursery has been so nurturing. Both my children settled in really well and have bonded with staff and other children. They go in so happy in the morning. The nursery provides a wide range of different activities and they have learnt so much following a Montessori approach. The staff turnover is much less than others in the area and I think this speaks volumes for the positive and supportive environment that it is. Thank you for all you do

Both our children, Libero and Grace, had a great experience at Hanwell Montessori. The nursery is always clean and well-maintained, with strong hygiene practices. We appreciated their healthy approach to food—for example, celebrating birthdays with fruit instead of cakes. There’s a wide range of learning activities (Libero started learning British Sign Language here), and the staff are attentive, caring, and clearly focused on each child’s development and well-being. Management is sensible and steady, and the low staff turnover speaks volumes about the positive environment. Our children made strong friendships here, especially helpful with the primary school being so close by.

My son attended the nursery since he was 11 months. We absolutely love our son’s nursery, and he loves it just as much! He’s made so many wonderful friends here, and it’s been amazing to watch him thrive in such a positive and nurturing environment. The staff are simply outstanding – they go above and beyond in everything they do. Alison, the manager, is fantastic and truly cares about every child and family. The level of care and attention they provide gives us complete peace of mind every day. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend this nursery!

Hanwell Montessori has been such a wonderful influence on our first kid - even at 3 years old, they're confident, articulate, happy and as connected to the staff as their friends - so soon we'll send our next little one too!
