Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff quickly identify gaps in children's learning and development and put interventions in place for children with special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND). They use funding effectively for disadvantaged children to support their progress. However, on some occasions they do not work with parents and outside agencies quickly enough to put high-quality interventions in place. Although children make progress, for a small number of children this is not as swift as it could be.

Outdoor space

The report mentions the inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on the children's learning, but provides no specific details about how children use the outdoor space.

My wife & I decided to bring our 2 year old daughter to Happy Days Nursery in Summercourt after having a very negative experience at a different nursery, where my daughter was crying her eyes out before every settling in session. We were extremely worried that our daughter would go through it all again, but she with how Happy Days is set out, and with the help of their amazing staff at Summercourt, I can honestly say how happy we are at the service, space and the care provided by them. Although my daughter struggles with attachment, she is getting more and more confident and comfortable each and every session. Thank you to all the staff at Happy Days for all the amazing work that you do.

My daughter started here at 6 months old and is so happy here. The nursery assistants learnt quickly what makes her tick and know when she’s having a bad day how they can support her, they’re happy to cuddle her to sleep on days she needs it and encourage her to be the outdoor messy child she is! Highly recommend
