About this day nursery

Happy Feet Nursery, established in 1994 and re-registered in 2018, operates from The Ark Christian Centre in Dover, serving children aged 2 to 4 years old. Open from 8:40 am to 3:30 pm, the nursery runs term-time only, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for its young learners.

The friendly and caring staff team cultivates a family-like environment, helping children to quickly settle and feel secure. This nurturing approach encourages children to become confident, self-assured, and highly independent.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well-supported and fully included in all nursery routines and activities. The nursery places a high priority on developing children's communication and language skills, including for those who speak English as an additional language, by reinforcing new words and concepts and providing ample opportunities for talking, listening, singing, and storytelling.

Outdoor learning is a significant part of the curriculum, with rich outdoor spaces and resources that spark curiosity and exploration. For instance, children engage with natural materials to build shelters for snails and use planks and tyres to create obstacle courses, promoting their physical development and problem-solving skills.

This is a really amazing nursery. Children's care and welfare come above everything else. Lots of fun activities like cooking and crafts, different theme days like book week and maths weeks ect. Staff are also really good at helping kids who struggle with things. Manager and SEN staff are particularly good and lots of good communication between home and nursery. I highly recommend.
