Hasbury Acorns offers wraparound care for children attending St Margaret's at Hasbury Primary School, focusing on providing a nurturing and stimulating environment. The experienced and qualified staff design engaging educational activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, tailoring them to suit various age groups.
For children within the EYFS age range, a dedicated key worker is assigned to monitor their development, and parents are kept informed of their child's progress through a personalised learning journey. The service prides itself on its inclusive approach, actively welcoming and accommodating children with diverse needs, including those with dietary requirements, medical conditions, and special educational needs.
Hasbury Acorns is part of the larger Acorns Children's Clubs, which also operates at other school locations, emphasising a commitment to comprehensive childcare services. The club aims to create a supportive community where children can thrive and grow, adhering to its philosophy that 'Mighty oaks from little acorns grow'.
Our ethos
Our qualified and experienced staff plan and prepare fun and educational activities in line with the EYFS which are adapted to suit all age ranges. Children within the EYFS age range are allocated a key worker and will have a learning journey to allow parents to see their progress. Hasbury Acorns prides itself on being an inclusive setting and endeavours to welcome children with dietary requirements, medical conditions and special educational needs.

Fees are structured around half-day sessions, full days, and before or after school clubs. Charges are billed per session or per day depending on the booking type.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive highly effective one-to-one support. SEND children access new materials, textures and activities daily. Staff have ambitious goals for each individual child, especially those with SEND. Staff encourage SEND children to explore new textures and eat new foods.
The report mentions that the inspector observed the quality of education being provided, including outdoors, to assess its impact on children's learning. Children plant their own herbs and grow their own fruit, exploring life cycles of plants and insects.

Before and after school care are from 7.30am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm, term time only. Pre-school sessions are available from 9.15am to 12.15pm, Monday to Friday term time only. The provider employs four members of childcare staff, all of whom hold an appropriate qualification at level 3. The setting offers early funded education for two-, three-, and four-year-old children.
