Tiger Lily Day Nursery, situated on the outskirts of Halesowen in the West Midlands, opened its doors in January 2011 after a complete renovation of what was formerly The Stockings Residential Home. The nursery was founded by Joint Managing Directors Charlotte Moseley and Melissa Rexworthy, both parents who sought to create a business that would allow them the flexibility to be present in their own children’s upbringing, leveraging their experience in residential business and management qualifications.
The nursery’s vision is to be the premier childcare provider in its community, dedicated to offering exceptional service to families and fostering an environment where every child can achieve their fullest potential. Tiger Lily aims to cultivate happy, confident, and caring children who are eager to learn through engaging, well-planned activities both indoors and outdoors.
They strive to provide a secure, stimulating, and safe setting where children’s confidence and self-esteem can flourish, while also offering a friendly and flexible childcare service for parents. Their approach includes a child-centred environment, flexibility to meet individual needs, a team of qualified and experienced staff committed to providing excellent care and education, and a philosophy of positive learning through play.
The nursery also prioritises making learning enjoyable for all children and providing healthy, nutritious meals. Each child benefits from a dedicated key person who oversees their individual needs, including developmental observations, meal times, and personal care like nappy changes or potty training.
Parents are kept informed and involved through communication diaries, notice boards, and regular conversations with staff.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive dedicated support. Staff work closely with parents and other professionals involved in children's care and plan and deliver experiences focused on shared targets. As a result, all children, including those in receipt of additional funding, make good progress from their starting points.
Children enjoy plenty of time playing outside in all weather, laughing enthusiastically as they jump and splash in puddles. They practice filling, pouring, and emptying using various containers in a water tray, demonstrating physical development.
An amazing nursery, that has the feel of a child minder. The consistent staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional. My 8 month old son is so happy at the nursery, I have no worries about returning to work as I know my son is in safe hands and will experience lots of fun activities including lots of sensory play.
