Hazeldene Day Nursery, operating since 2006, provides a welcoming and nurturing environment for children aged 0–4 years. 30am to 6pm, the setting ensures children have a great start to their education through positive interactions with a kind, caring team.
The staff are dedicated to building strong relationships, helping children to understand and cope with their emotions, which in turn develops their language and confidence. Children are supported to make good progress, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), with staff demonstrating a good understanding of their needs and working closely with professionals and parents to implement specific support.
The nursery boasts a well-planned and sequenced curriculum that covers all areas of learning, engaging children in exciting experiences. There is a strong emphasis on outdoor play, where children confidently explore the garden, developing their physical skills as they run up and down hills and climb on a large climbing frame.
The atmosphere is language-rich, fostering a love of books among the children.

Inclusion & environment
Children make good progress, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff have a good understanding of children with SEND and quickly make referrals for children who need additional support. They work closely with professionals and parents to put specific targets in place.
Children confidently explore the garden. Staff provide children with many opportunities to develop their physical skills outdoors. Children develop coordination as they run up and down hills and climb on a large climbing frame.
This has always been an excellent nursery, my children went there 30 years ago and I'm hoping to get my grandson a place in there too, best in the area in my opinion.
