Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
parents state that they could not be happier with the care that their children receive at this magical place.
They have noticed that their children have become more independent and grown in confidence since they have started at nursery.
Inclusion & environment
Children show care for the environment and living things. Older children take part in litter-picking outings with staff in the community. Children also look carefully outside to check there are no hazards before their friends come out to play.
A really lovely nursery with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are professional, caring, and clearly enjoy what they do. The setting is very inviting and organised. It’s clear a lot of care and effort goes into making it a great place.
Read on GoogleI want this to be honest as it’s very difficult to choose a childcare provider for your child. A lot of staff are leaving at the moment - in actual fact I think all of the experienced and legacy staff that made the nursery a special place are leaving. The nursery was acquired by a much larger nursery group and it’s gone to pot. The staff over the last few years that have looked after our daughter were amazing, but they have all (at the very last the vast majority have) resigned and the last few leaving before September. A lot of agency staff and no idea who the staff are to be honest. It’s a real shame and hopefully they sort it out, but for that reason we wouldn’t choose to put another child in the nursery until it’s a lot more settled from a staffing perspective. It’s also one of, if not the most expensive nursery in the city. The outdoor space is limited and no obvious recent investment/plans to improve the current provisions.
Read on GoogleMy little girl has come on leaps and bounds since starting at Headstart on the Hill. Her confidence grows daily and she is really coming out of her shell. The day to day activities and trips out make such a difference to other care settings we looked at and it’s a huge relief as a first time mum who has gone back to work to see how much fun your child is having. The staff are so attentive to each child’s needs and go above and beyond to ensure each child gets the very best care. I wouldn’t hesitate to reccommend Headstart on the Hill to any parents considering nursery and cannot thank the staff enough for everything that they do. You are all superstars!
