Hedgehogs Nursery School, established in 2014 by Mrs. Mack, offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2 years until they begin primary school. The nursery's philosophy, "Learning Together Through Play," is central to its approach, with dedicated and qualified staff encouraging early development through engaging activities.
The school prioritises a happy, caring, and stimulating atmosphere, recognising the crucial and receptive nature of the pre-school years. They channel children's energy into carefully planned, challenging experiences, fostering individual development.
The staff aim to be positive and encouraging, empowering children to explore new experiences and build self-confidence. The nursery believes motivated and happy children are eager learners, striving to equip them with essential skills for life and their future education.
They offer a variety of experiences, including seven different play zones, teacher-led activities, healthy snack times with fruit, vegetables, milk, or water, and a new topic each half term. The facility also boasts a wonderful, large outdoor play area to complement the extensive indoor playrooms, promoting both physical and cognitive development.

Inclusion & environment
Staff understand that some children need more support, such as those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They engage in high quality interactions with children all day, listening carefully and asking meaningful questions to help children express themselves effectively, such as asking for help when they need it.
Children enjoy lots of exercise and fresh air to support their physical skills and health. For example, they develop their movement and coordination as they run, chase hoops and play football in the large open space.
