Located in Westfields Community Hall with expansive views overlooking the racecourse, the nursery provides a vibrant and spacious playroom, complemented by a smaller area for focused activities or quiet time.
Children benefit from a free-flow system, granting them continuous access to a large patio and garden, fostering exploration and investigation in all weather conditions. The nursery welcomes children from 18 months old and currently accommodates a maximum of 30 children per session.
Parents are encouraged to visit at any time and are invited to participate in activities and spend time at the nursery. Highmore Hedgehogs focuses on providing a secure, warm, and inviting atmosphere where children can engage in play, learning, and development through a diverse range of stimulating activities, promoting imagination, socialisation, and enjoyment.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well. Any additional funding the nursery receives is used to support children's individual needs, such as for extra staffing and additional resources. Staff work in partnership with parents and a number of external agencies to ensure that children receive the help they need to make the best possible progress.
Children listen and follow staff's instructions as they play outside in the garden. They develop an understanding of space and measure as they fill and empty different-sized containers with sand and water.
