What parents say

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

They feel communication is prompt and effective. Parents feel they are provided with information about where their child is up to and the next steps in their learning.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is exceptional. Staff go above and beyond to ensure children are included and do not miss out on activities, working closely with other agencies and parents to provide vast support and advice for seamless transitions, especially to school.

Outdoor space

The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning. Children have routines to help them to know what is coming next. However, transition times, such as when moving from the outdoors to indoors, can sometimes be rushed and disorganised.

My son has been at the nursery for just two months, and he settled in so quickly! The staff are incredibly friendly, caring, and made him feel comfortable from the very beginning. There are so many well-designed activities every day that keep the children engaged, learning, and having fun. He’s already grown in confidence and is always excited to go in. A big thank you to the manager and the whole team for creating such a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment. We truly appreciate all that you do!

Don’t bother going here. Waste of your time and money. Was told my child had behavioural issues that came out of nowhere. Months in, we find out that they have forgotten that my child is deaf on one ear. My child was acting out because he was so frustrated for months! Never followed up with what exactly they’ll do to prevent it again. All the managers were ambiguous on what has been done or hasn’t and when I persisted asking what they’ve done, I was threatened to stop talking about it. Positives are the actual carers working there. Incompetent managers and SENDCO. I’ve heard all sorts of things from the nursery that they’ve forgotten peanut allergies so not surprised why they were fobbing me off. Don’t bother with the Ofsted review because they were fobbing me off just before they officially got their “good” mark. All reports were submitted after the new osfsted rating they got.

Beginning Sep 2023 - really pleased with the ongoing effort shown by all staff at Honeypot Huyton, always a warm environment, including management who are consistently present, ready to welcome you through the door each day! Multiple thorough updates everyday through the app, regarding meals, sleep and other lovely insights into the activities that are set up for the children to enjoy together. Special efforts are made to celebrate dates like children's mental health week/world book day etc. which is always nice to see. Always an honest and personable recap at the end of my child's day there, even down to minor details. Staff are genuine and caring and I'm happy to have my child in their care. Thankyou Honeypot Huyton, keep shining!😊

I visit Honeypots Huyton once a week delivering Phonics sessions. All of the children are engaged and ready to learn every session. That's thanks to the calm, safe and stimulating environment the staff have created. With a clear routine, children are aware of their expectations so they can focus in structured sessions easier. Well done everyone!

Honey pots is absolutly amazing nursery. Didn't ever think I'd like another nursery after I loved my eldest child nursery but honey pots has opened my eyes in many ways and exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend the nursery to others. All staff including management are lovely, approachable and i feel comfotable leaving my little girl in nursery as she absolutly loves it! I am always welcomed into nursery with a walm response from all staff of a morning and all staff are chatty and approchable. Staff always keep me updated on Ettie progress throughout her day which is nice when im busy in work as i know i can always check in on her. I am always kept in the loop with any accidents, changes in the day, medication given ect. Key staff are amazing and I think the relationship between my little girl and key worker speaks volumes as my little girl idolises her and her face lights up when she is ever mentioned. All staff are amazing an I honestly couldn't thank ALL the staff enough for how much work they put into the children and how much my little girl has come on since being at honey pots. I appreciate the work the girls do and would highly recommend the nursery to others.
