How they support every child

SEND provision

Children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), learn about the importance of being independent. Babies, toddlers and children with SEND benefit from exceptionally positive relationships with staff. Leaders work closely with other agencies to support the needs of children with SEND, including children at the earlier stages of learning language. Leaders ensure that staff are trained to use symbols and gestures to support children's communication and language. Staff's skilful work enables children who are not yet able to use words to make choices. Parents of children with SEND feel extremely well supported and are fully involved in discussing their child's learning and agreeing targets for support.

Outdoor space

Staff think carefully about how to develop children's physical knowledge and skills, such as through an outdoor 'assault course'. Mobile babies learn how to use large-muscle movements when playing with large paintbrushes outdoors.

My son Ted has been at this nursery for roughly 2 years working his way through from the Baby room -to Pre-School room, he absolutely loves going to nursery. I cannot thank all the lovely staff enough for how much care and compassion they have given to my son he loves spending time with each an everyone of you - when the time comes to leave it’s going to be a very sad day for us all !! Nothing is ever too much for the staff they go above and beyond for all the children - thank you all so much xx

My son has been with Little Apples since he was 9 months old and he’s now preparing for reception class. I could not have asked for a better nursery and start for him on his educational journey. Yes has been nurtured and cared for like he’s part of their family. He’s on the Autistic spectrum and his Key workers and area Senco have been nothing short of amazing. I’m so glad we picked Little Apples and would advise anyone in the Huyton area to choose this nursery for your child’s start in educational life.

This is a fantastic nursery, my son LOVES it here. Theres so much to keep him entertained, stimulated, peak his interest and curiosity. The staff are amazing, always going above and beyond yo care for and educate. I simply couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

My son left here a couple of months ago to start school. He really loved the staff and the staff really love him too. He just thought he was having fun every day, but really he was being educated and honing his social skills. They put loads of effort into getting to know him, just as well as i do, which paid off big time. He’d often come home and teach me things he’d learned earlier. As i came to pick my son up, i’d always glance into the outdoor area (and inside) to see what he was doing. He was often dressed up as something, involved in something fun and always smiling. Even when he was at home during lockdown, the staff kept sending fun things for him to do. I’m not gonna say ‘hey this is where you should send your kid’ as every child is different. All i will say is that my son loved it there.
