Austin Farm Academy, situated at the end of Delamere Road in Eggbuckland, Plymouth, is a single-form entry school that prides itself on nurturing children to thrive and succeed. The academy fosters an environment where children are encouraged to be proud of their school, their achievements, and their behaviour.

A core belief at Austin Farm is the importance of resilience, equipping children with the confidence and optimism to tackle life's challenges. Austin Farm Academy is also a member of the Westcountry Schools Trust, a network of 18 primary and 8 secondary schools, which facilitates collaboration, school development, and the sharing of best practices. Despite considering itself a "hidden gem," the academy invites prospective families to visit and experience its unique offerings.

What it's like

Leaders have made good improvements since their last inspection. Safeguarding procedures are robust and staff support children's language and communication skills effectively. Staff also implement effective strategies to manage children's behaviour using visual cues to help them understand their feelings.
