About this day nursery

Horsham Montessori has been dedicated to delivering Montessori education since 1996, placing a high value on the involvement of parents as their child's initial educators. The nursery strives to cultivate children's inherent confidence and enthusiasm for learning within a secure and stimulating environment, treating each child as a unique individual.

The Montessori teaching approach, developed by Maria Montessori, focuses on empowering children to lead their own learning journey. Educators at Horsham Montessori create an environment rich with engaging materials, allowing children to explore at their own pace and cultivate deep concentration.

The self-correcting nature of the Montessori materials enables children to learn through independent discovery, fostering problem-solving skills. The curriculum encompasses practical life, sensorial, mathematics, language, and culture, all designed to align with children's interests and developmental stages.

Children can enrol from the age of two, with an initial period of observation to acclimate and learn from their peers. Older children joining the nursery are encouraged to attend afternoon sessions to maximise the benefits of the Montessori experience in a calmer setting, aligning with Maria Montessori's belief in the profound importance of early childhood learning.
