How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders have strengthened arrangements to ensure children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive targeted interventions to help them catch up. Due to inconsistencies in teaching practice, this also impacts some children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Staff ensure children have opportunities to learn about life beyond the nursery through regular trips to local amenities. For instance, children delight in trips to the beach and local green spaces. Staff plan these trips to help children learn about the natural world and to make real-time connections in their current learning.

Hove village is absolutely outstanding nursery. My son absolutely adores going. The children a free to chose from a wide range of activities each day as well as regular trips out and lots of different sports classes in the summer. All of the staff seam really experienced and have such lovely bonds with the children. The nursery also have a great app that updates you throughout the day on meals and naps. The staff also upload lots of pictures which are so wonderful to see whist you're at work! I honestly couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Hove Village Nursery situated in Hove Library. The staff are very welcoming, kind and attentive. The communication via the Famly app and at collection is very good, everyone is very approachable and friendly. The activities are always creative, child led and diverse which is excellent, little trips as well as sports, yoga and music make every session really fun. I know my son will miss the Monkeys room, his friends and the staff, however they have also helped to ensure he is school ready too, thank you so much!

If you are looking for a nursery for your little one don't look any further as Hove Village is the perfect place for all children. My son was 9 months when he started to go to the nursery. I was really worried as he was so little and it was just after lockdown so he wasn't used to strangers. Yet, it only take a couple of weeks for him to settle in and it is down to the wonderful care and support he has been getting from his main carers (Benny and Marketa). The nursery offers delicious and nutritious on site cooked meals, snacks, nappies and everything your child might need for no extra charge. If you decide to go for this nursery your child will be engaged throughout the day with different activities where their carers are involved too. The staff is lovely from the carers who are looking after the little ones to the people in the office. Nursery also uses an application where they send you updates about how is your child is doing and what she or he has been up to during the day (for example: what and how much they ate, when and how much they slept, plenty of pictures etc.). I am so glad that my son has had a chance to go to Hove Village nursery. It's definitely one of the best nurseries in Brighton and Hove. Keep up the great work!

We absolutely love Hove Village. Our daughter just turned 3 when we moved from London to Hove. They were great during the settling-in period and, straight from the beginning, our girl loves going to nursery. The staff is so lovely and caring, the food is great and they offer such an amazing variety of activities for the children. We will definitely miss Hove Village and the people once our girl starts school in Sep.

Hove Village looked after our Son for 2 years, during this time he received outstanding care, we always said it like leaving him with family and friends. The food there is amazing, the standard of chilcare is brilliant and even during times when our boy was not behaving as we'd liked they coached him through it and helped us to understand why he was acting out. By the end of his time there he was raring to go to school with an interest in sport, the world around him and a healthy respect for teachers and good behaviour. Thank you to everyone at Hove Village!
