Humberston Pre-School, established in 2015, provides a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. 15pm, the pre-school offers a purpose-built setting where children are happy and content.

Staff know each child well, ensuring a smooth and enthusiastic start to their day. The curriculum supports communication and language development, with practitioners extending vocabulary through engaging stories.

Mathematics is woven into daily activities, from counting during stories with "wands" to counting items at lunchtime, helping children grasp mathematical concepts. The pre-school places a strong emphasis on identifying gaps in children's learning at an early stage, implementing suitable interventions and leveraging local referral processes for additional support.

This dedicated approach ensures good progress for all children, particularly those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). " Furthermore, the setting promotes a healthy lifestyle through encouraging healthy lunchboxes and offering yoga sessions.

Gaps in children's learning are identified at an early stage to ensure suitable interventions can be put into place. The manager has a good understanding of local referral processes, meaning families and children can get additional support when necessary. Children make good progress, especially children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Outdoor space

While playing outside, children say, 'Abracadabra, stop raining.' Children also benefit from opportunities to explore outdoors.
