About this day nursery

Hundred Acre Playgroup, established over 50 years ago, is an Ofsted-registered charitable organisation providing a nurturing environment for early years children. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines, it aims to create a welcoming atmosphere that fosters positive relationships between home and the setting.

The playgroup is run by a volunteer committee composed of current and former parents. Located on Goodwood Drive in the Hundred Acre Estate, Streetly, West Midlands, the playgroup operates during term time, Monday to Friday.

They offer both morning and afternoon sessions, with children attending a minimum of two sessions per week. The playgroup provides a healthy morning snack, but children staying for afternoon sessions are required to bring their own lunch.

Hundred Acre Pre-School Playgroup follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines and aims to foster positive relationships between home and the setting within a welcoming atmosphere. They are a charitable organisation with over 50 years of experience offering a nurturing environment.

Children are happy and relaxed at the setting and settle in well to play with resources and activities that interest them. They have fun and are keen to learn, taking pleasure in engaging with various activities. Children behave well, use good manners, and respond to staff guidance, gaining skills for their next stages in learning and eventual move to school.

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make consistently good progress from their starting points. Staff effectively liaise with parents and outside professionals to ensure that children with SEND receive the support they need.
