How they support every child

SEND provision

The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) is knowledgeable about her role and understands the unique needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) very well. The SENCo works well with parents, key staff and other professionals to ensure they are working towards the same goals. Referrals are made in a timely manner to secure additional support. However, on occasion, children with SEND do not have effective strategies in place to enable them to access the same activities as their peers.

Outdoor space

Children get lots of opportunities to play outside. This allows them to not only build their physical skills but also to explore and investigate. Children play collaboratively in this environment, rolling tyres and carrying large construction blocks together.

We took extra settling sessions but was managed to get baby settled just before my return to work. I cannot say enough praises to the staff there. They tailored the meal and care according to baby’s needs, and tried their very best to comfort my baby - to which I’m very grateful for their understanding and support. We like how thoughtful the safeguarding procedures were, and we were able to see pics of our baby participating in different activity day. I can tell my baby was learning quickly from his stay in hungry caterpillar, like he’s no longer cry when we pick up, is more likely to feed himself and even been able to pull himself to stand up! Thank you for all of your hard work!

The staff are fantastic and were amazing at helping our daughter settle in. They ensured she had extra settling sessions to help prepare her as best as possible and continued to work with her confidence and independence. She now loves going in to see everyone, and I know she has a great time whilst she is there, which is such a comfort! The communication by the Famly App is fantastic and I always know what is going on and what my child has been doing during the day. I love receiving photos about her activities.
