Ickle Pickles Nursery School in Sittingbourne focuses on providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive and develop their individual potential. The nursery prioritises creating a secure and happy atmosphere, extending this support to parents by integrating them into the "Storal family" from the outset.
Children benefit from settling-in sessions to ease their transition, and throughout their time at the nursery, each child is assigned a dedicated key person and team. These staff members work closely with families to address the child's unique needs and ensure a smooth adaptation through various developmental stages, including preparing them for school.
The school believes in strong parent involvement in a child's early education and fosters this through continuous communication, daily updates on activities and routines, learning journals, and parent evenings to discuss progress.

Inclusion & environment
Staff include all children and support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to make good relationships with their peers.
Children enjoy an engaging outdoor space, as well as taking part in outings in the local environment. For example, toddlers practise their running and balancing skills and enjoy the ride-on toys available. Staff present physical challenges to all children to promote their large-muscle skills and encourage them to take managed risks.
My daughter started at Ickle Pickles this month and they have been incredible in helping her settle in. The staff have been so helpful and have answered all of my questions. They done a really in depth questionnaire when she started so that they get to know all of her likes and dislikes, all the food she likes to eat, how she likes to nap and what her home routine is like this made me feel really reassured about leaving my daughter with them while I go to work as I knew this would mean that she would be looked after the way I wanted and it would help her settle in to going to nursery quicker. The food is great, they have a wonderful garden area and the staff are lovely. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough, they have been incredible.
