What parents say

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

Parents say they really value these ideas for home learning and are keen to support their children with them.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities exceptionally well. They quickly identify children who may need additional support and are prompt to make a referral when needed. Staff take time to really know each child, including what they like and need and where they are developmentally. Leaders link well with both parents and professionals to ensure they are working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes.

Outdoor space

The intention for learning in the garden is less effectively planned for. This means that while the children enjoy their time playing outside, staff are not consistently challenging and extending their learning outdoors.

I am so impressed with the level of care my son receives at Wings Nursery. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic and my son has built strong bonds with all the adults and children. All the activities are well planned and engaging. They are attentive to his needs and give thorough feedback. He loves outdoor play and can’t wait to tell me about his day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wings! Thank you for all you do!

I would highly recommend wings nursery. Ever since my son started attending (which has only been 5 months) he has developed rapidly, going from not saying many words to now singing songs and learning words everyday. He is more confident and interactive with others and he is always super happy to be dropped off in the morning. I have peace of mind all day while he’s at nursery and I’m not anxious about his well being because of the positive assurance from the staff. My only wish is that I found wings nursery sooner! Special shout out to all the amazing, friendly, welcoming and HARDWORKING staff who deserve all the recognition for how much they genuinely and delightfully look after my little boy and all the other children.

We love wings. Wings helped my son Regan get his EHCP ready to start big school. Everyone is so lovely and friendly and 4 years later we now have our daughter Leela at wings too. She loves it and we really don’t want her to leave. We have other nursery’s very close to us but we would rather travel and choose wings every time 💜

Wings Nursery was the second pre school environment that my son tried and we have not looked back since he started there in July. All of the staff are qualified teachers and absolutely wonderful with the children in their care. The nursery is a fabulous setting with a lovely ambience and so many great resources for the children. My son has some communication difficulties and the staff have all been so patient with him, beginning with a staggered integration into the nursery to ensure that he was not overwhelmed & that he settled well. He has picked up using prompt cards and some makaton, and we couldn't have done this without the wonderful support of the nursery staff. I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery setting to anyone and will definitely be hoping for a place when my daughter is old enough to attend.

Amazing nursery run by qualified teachers. My son absolutely loves going to nursery here and has bonded really well with all the staff. My son has additional needs and they have been really accommodating and have always made sure he is comfortable at nursery. The nursery’s senco here is absolutely brilliant and is so supportive whenever I need to chat things through. Really recommend this nursery to anyone in the local area.
