About this day nursery

Jigsaw Nursery School Pinner provides a nurturing and creative environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years, located within the Pinner Free Church. Established in 2007, the nursery operates from three spacious and bright classrooms—Duckling, Robin, and Owl rooms—each designed to foster independence and discovery.

The dedicated team focuses on helping every child feel valued and inspired, supporting their unique potential through play-based learning. This approach encourages curiosity, the development of early social skills, and opportunities for self-directed exploration.

Jigsaw Nursery School Pinner boasts a large, secluded all-weather outdoor area and nature garden, providing ample space for daily outdoor play, physical challenges, and natural exploration in a safe setting. The nursery emphasises continuity and reassurance for families, offering convenient access via public transport and onsite parking to ensure stress-free drop-offs.

The facilities also include CCTV, secure entry, extra-curricular activities, reading areas, and SEN support, ensuring a comprehensive and secure setting for children's growth and development. The nursery is committed to healthy growth and development, preparing fresh meals daily with quality, seasonal ingredients, and menus developed with expert guidance, exceeding Early Years Foundation Stage requirements to promote confident and curious eaters.

Our ethos

Children explore through play-based learning in secure, age-appropriate rooms that encourage curiosity and growth. Experiences may include imaginative activities, early social skills and opportunities for self-directed discovery. We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.

What it's like

Staff provide an exciting and challenging educational programme where children are eager to learn and share their knowledge, as seen with the duck eggs. Younger children engage in sensory experiences with attentive staff. Children form warm relationships with staff, benefiting from activities planned around their interests and clear 'golden rules' that promote good behaviour.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff work in partnership with parents and professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Local referral procedures are followed to promptly request additional support. Children with individual therapy or care needs have strategies incorporated into planned activities to ensure they make progress.

Outdoor space

Staff plan and provide activities for physical movement outside in the garden. Children enjoy riding bicycles and tricycles, quickly manoeuvring around the large space. However, the use of the space is not always carefully thought through, sometimes restricting children's free movement.

One of the experience we had. They don't deliver what they promise. Very mean and rude person who shows you around. She would be really sweet initially and when you start following up, bo response whatsoever. Even after calling her, responses are I am busy right now, will tell you requested info later. Day after same response. Just save yourself and child.

My son started attending this nursery from September 2024 because the previous one was closed. It was the best decision I made. Jigsaw nursery will fulfill the dreams of parents, it gives children a sense of security, care and takes care of education. Manager Chloe always greets with a smile and a kind word. Lauren my son key worker is an important person in his life, every day after nursery he asks if he will see her the next day. Angel, Rahima, Kami and Suad also approach their responsibilities with passion and respect. My son always says that he ate a delicious lunch and had a great time at his nursery. I can recommend this nursery with all my heart.

My son has always been a momma's boy and it was a rough couple of weeks when we first started him at Jigsaw Pinner. It was our first attempt at any sort of child care (and restrictions due to covid also complicated the change). But I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he settled in! The space is lovely and colourful and exciting. The staff are kind and warm. And management are very receptive to helping make the experience so that the transition away from mummy is not too traumatic. Truly a wonderful nursery experience so far
