Jst 4 Kidz/Totz, established in 2013, provides an outstanding early years experience for children aged 2 to 11 years. The setting operates during term time from Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, with a before-school club starting at 7am and an after-school club extending until 6pm.

Children in this vibrant environment display remarkable energy and excitement, quickly forming strong emotional bonds with the staff. The meticulously planned and exceptionally engaging curriculum ignites children's natural curiosity, offering a wealth of captivating and challenging activities.

For instance, activities like designing "odd socks" help children learn about differences and anti-bullying, while a trip to post letters fosters understanding of community roles. Children in receipt of funded early education and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are particularly well supported.

Staff demonstrate an exceptional understanding of each child's unique learning journey and needs, ensuring every child achieves their full potential. Constant monitoring of progress allows for rapid referrals and timely interventions when required.

The outdoor area is a hub of excited exploration, where children inquisitively investigate and discover minibeasts and enjoy the muddy digging area. This dedication to a holistic and inclusive approach ensures children develop superior levels of self-esteem and confidence.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children in receipt of funded early education and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported to reach their full potential. Staff working with children have an exceptional understanding of their learning and needs to ensure that they achieve the best possible outcomes. Children's progress is constantly monitored, and rapid referrals are initiated to ensure that interventions are obtained when necessary.

Outdoor space

Children excitedly explore the outdoor area. They inquisitively explore, investigate and speculate as they discover minibeasts and explore the muddy digging area.

The room my child was in was very dusty in some corners and they do NOT clean the toys. Not great for NeuroDivergent children who put toys in their mouths. Staff seem very friendly and would give them a 5star review if the cleaning was up to spec.

Fantastic place, my little girl is cared for really well. She enjoys going and loves all the ladies who care for her. Would highly recommend. They always make her feel welcome and treat her like they would their own.
