Kenwood Nature Nursery, established in 2016, provides childcare from 0–4 years in a dedicated setting. The nursery operates year-round, closing for only one week, from Monday to Friday, with sessions running from 8 am to 6 pm.
The nursery embraces a forest school approach, where children learn safely while taking supported risks in their play. Staff adeptly use the natural environment, alongside additional resources, to introduce new skills and concepts, such as identifying numbers on hidden pumpkins.
This approach helps children develop new knowledge and skills, such as healthy routines through imaginative play, like pretending to brush their teeth with sticks. The curriculum is varied, with staff effectively assessing children's existing knowledge to plan their next steps while fostering communication, language, and early mathematical understanding.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) benefit from targeted plans and support, ensuring they fully access learning opportunities and make good progress. Parents have noted their children developing new skills, particularly rapid physical development, and becoming caring, confident individuals.

Both my little ones have attended over the past 4 years. Great staff, amazing experience for the children and now they always want to be outdoors. Love it.
