Treetops Day Nursery, established in 2002, is situated within a spacious Victorian building featuring three extensive outdoor play areas for children to explore. These include a soft play area for infants, an astroturf section with climbing equipment, and a forest garden equipped with a water wall, mud kitchen, obstacle course, and areas for planting and bug hunting.
The nursery provides large classrooms that support learning through play, guided by a highly qualified team. They aim to equip children with foundational knowledge in Phonics, Mathematics, Literacy, Science, and Physical Education before they transition to school.
Additionally, the nursery offers a dedicated large indoor play area, an art room, dining facilities, and a calming sensory room. Located in Sheffield 11, it benefits from proximity to local parks and woodlands for regular outings and is easily accessible via various transport links, with on-site parking available for families.
Our ethos
Our nurseries provide a first-class, educational learning environment supported by our ethos of educating children through play.
What it's like
Children benefit from a key-person system and gradual settling-in sessions, helping them to settle quickly while staff learn about their abilities. The staff create a welcoming, safe, and secure environment, with high expectations for all children. They interact enthusiastically and join in play, such as making prints in dough, allowing children to extend their own activities.
Fees are charged at a flat hourly rate, with additional hours billed at the same rate. An optional monthly fee covers baby consumables such as nappies, wipes, and creams. A non-refundable admission fee is required to secure a child's place.

They say that their children enjoy attending and make good progress.
They particularly like the book lending library.
Inclusion & environment
Additional funding is used effectively to provide the targeted resources and experiences some children require to thrive.
However, during group routines, such as getting ready to go outside, children have to wait long periods of time for their turn.
Staff support all children, including those who speak English as an additional language, to develop their communication and language skills.
Our time at Treetop's nursery has been truly amazing. The staff's dedication, the stimulating environment, and individualized attention have created a nurturing and educational experience for our child. Leaving is bittersweet, but we are grateful for the exceptional foundation provided here. Highly recommended
