Inclusion & environment
Staff promptly identify gaps in children's learning and swiftly put strategies in place. For example, they use visual timetables effectively with children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to help them understand what will happen next during the day. Children with SEND are supported well to join in activities and mealtimes with other children, which strengthens their social and communication skills. Staff speak regularly with other professionals to review children's progress and share information about their learning and development.
Children play cooperatively and happily swap bicycles outside with each other. The inspectors observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact on children's learning.
A Truly Magical Place for Our Little Princess! From the moment we walked into Kiddi Caru Peterborough, we knew it was the perfect place for our daughter, Lily. The warmth, care, and dedication of the staff are simply unparalleled! Every day, Lily steps into a world filled with joy, creativity, and learning, and we couldn’t be happier with the nurturing environment she’s surrounded by. The team at Kiddi Caru treats every child like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and inspired to explore the world around them. The activities are not only fun but also beautifully designed to support development, confidence, and curiosity. We’ve watched Lily blossom into a happy, independent, and inquisitive little girl, and a huge part of that is thanks to the wonderful care she receives here. We’re beyond grateful for the magic that Kiddi Caru brings into our daughter’s life every day. If you’re looking for a place where your child will be cherished, encouraged, and truly thrive, this is it! A well-deserved 5 stars!
Read on GoogleThe rating is currently 'Good' and not 'Outstanding'. Current staff shortages make it impossible for my child to attend everyday of the week. So please check and think carefully before registering your child. Update (June 2023): staff shortages continue... Update (Feb 2025): under new management things have improved a lot. There is no staff shortages any more and there seems to try hard to get better and move back to outstanding.
Read on GoogleMy child loves this nursery and it shows his started talking more, acting better around other children just an all round growing child we are very very happy with Kiddi Cary Day Nursery. I'm editing my previous review and now give 3 stars *I recently had an experience with Kiddo Caru Day Nursery that I feel is important to share with other parents searching for a nursery. Unfortunately, I have to note that the nursery has been frequently sending messages to parents stating that they do not have enough staff to accommodate all the children, which means that some children cannot attend on certain days. While I understand that this can happen occasionally, it has been happening quite frequently lately, causing a significant disruption to daily life for both parents and children.*
Read on GoogleInitially we signed our daughter up months in advanced. They upped the standard price per month over the course of the summer without letting us know. They then proceeded to start charging us early on top of the new raised price per month. Not off to a great start. Fast forward to parents evening. Her key worker didn't have nothing prepared for us and only asked if we had any questions. We literally had to probe to find out the bare minimum information. Then in middle November my partner picked up our daughter and one of the workers in her class had said our daughter was "pinched" by another staff member and that it was our daughter who raised the alarm. This happened shortly before the end of the day and our daughter was still crying and upset upon my partners arrival. The staff member in question was put in a secluded location after our daughter initially told the other staff member, clearly very upset. A report was filed which clearly confirmed a "pinch mark" was present on our daughters forearm, which we still have a copy of. The worker in question was suspended pending investigation. Our daughter continued going as we felt that it would be fine to keep sending her provided the culprit was not in the building. We also did not want this to damage our daughters confidence with going nursery, despite being nervous about returning. Our daughters version of events has never once changed and she also pointed out the worker in questions picture at the nursery and said "dad, that's the one that pinched me". Our daughter has been very vocal about this incident since, often telling other family members and friends what happened. Not once has her version of events changed. Our daughter is 3 and we are extremely grateful she is able to articulate and express at such a young age. Investigation continued and in early December we were called by the person who runs the Peterborough branch who confirmed it was a case of "one word against the other" and based on this they were allowing the worker back to work. We immediately made the decision to take our daughter out indefinitely. They refunded us for the month and our deposit. However, we lost all confidence we had left with this place the moment they confirmed this worker was allowed back without even confirming if they would be working in the same area as our daughter (which we specifically requested not to occur). No explanation was EVER given as to why our daughter had a pinch mark and why this worker (and to quote) even "had to hug our daughter to calm her down". Which is also a key indication of something occurring. Something happened to our daughter and we believe her 100% as she has no history at home of lying. We understand the nursery has to do their investigation how they see fit, but the key points are there and have never been explained. Highly disappointing and we would not recommend this place.
