About this day nursery

Kiddies Corner Day Care in Herne Bay is a childcare setting established in 2013, offering a warm and stimulating environment for children aged 0-4 years. Open from 8am to 6pm, 50 weeks a year, the day nursery ensures effective settling-in procedures so children feel secure and form strong bonds with staff, as noted in their 'Good' Ofsted rating from March 2023.

The curriculum is varied, catering to individual needs and learning styles. Toddlers develop physical skills outdoors on ride-on bicycles and various equipment, while older children practise independence, like using stairs and cutting vegetables for the resident African land snail.

Staff skillfully support communication, language development, and the needs of younger children, those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and those with English as an additional language. An independent speech and language therapist works closely with practitioners and parents to create targeted individual learning plans for children with SEND.

Children are encouraged to be confident and independent, selecting their own activities and exploring the outdoors, learning about nature, and managing risks. Parents value the daily communication from staff, receiving regular updates and ideas for continued learning at home.

Leaders maintain a high-quality vision, continuously evaluating and improving the provision, ensuring children benefit from bespoke activities that support their development.

Wow! I can’t fault this nursery, absolutely amazing! They really nurture and care, my son always went in sad but I knew he would be left feeling happy and always had the best days, made great friends and made the most amazing bonds with the staff, especially Kelly his key worker, her enthusiasm and kindness, wow will miss her. 10000% recommend.
