Our ethos

The children in our care learn through play, and the passionate team at our nursery offer children a variety of activities and learning opportunities every day related to their individual interests, ensuring no two days are ever the same. Our smaller size enables us to work closely with children and families to form a partnership which allows us to meet their individual needs and develop capable learners and communicators.

My daughter has thrived being at the nursery for just over a year now, with so many fun experiences— cooking, football, yoga, planting, being out in the forest class..she truly gets so much out of nursery! She is always so happy after her day there, and often tells me the things that she gets up to, who she’s played with and about the staff within her room too. Her speech has come on greatly within the last few months, going from speaking 2 words together to sentences in such a short space of time and it’s truly down to the dedication and hard work that the team put in everyday. Thank you so much all at Herne Bay for being so loving and attentive to my little girl, it is so appreciated.

What an amazing team! I’m absolutely thrilled with Aimee, Melissa, Natasha, Keeley, and the whole Townsend team. I enrolled my daughter when she was just three months old, which is younger than most, and they’ve truly gone above and beyond to ensure she has the best possible nursery experience. The entire staff have been so welcoming to her (and me) and I’m incredibly grateful to them all. Aimee, in particular, has been exceptional as my daughter’s key person. She genuinely cares about her and I feel re-assured she’s in the best possible care when she’s not with me or her dad.

I had a lovely visit to Herne Bay, The nursery is beautiful and I loved the displays around the nursery displaying the children’s work proudly. The garden space is also fantastic, with the children having shelter to enjoy outdoor play in all weathers, aswell as an additional forest space which gives additional learning opportunities. Thank you for my tour!
