About this day nursery

Bloom Southdene, established in 2007, is an integral part of the Kirkby community, sharing its location with St Joseph the Worker RC Primary School. Many staff members are local residents, fostering a strong sense of community and creating a welcoming, familiar environment for families.

The nursery focuses on providing a calm and nurturing atmosphere where children can grow through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions. Recently renovated indoor spaces are designed to be natural, cosy, and inviting, promoting a peaceful learning environment.

The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, emphasising curiosity, creativity, and connection. Children are encouraged to learn through hands-on experiences tailored to their interests and developmental stages.

The nursery offers age-appropriate rooms for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, designed to build confidence and independence. What it's like

Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, are happy and make lots of friends at this cosy, calm nursery. They settle quickly because of the gentle support from the kind and caring staff who want to play with them. Babies are welcomed with snuggles from staff when they arrive, making them feel extremely settled and secure and sleep peacefully in their protective baby room.
