Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The curriculum is ambitious for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The manager and staff work tirelessly and very closely with parents to ensure that they address any gaps in learning immediately and without delay. This means that children receive prompt support to help them make the best possible progress in their learning. Staff also report that the manager amends working hours when staff are completing specialised training to support their role in working with children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Children arrive at the setting and staff greet them warmly and welcome them in. Children are able to choose whether they would like to play inside or outdoors, and this helps to engage most children promptly in their learning. Each age group has their separate outdoor areas, enabling staff to plan the learning environments appropriately. Pre-school children develop secure skills as they take risks in safe surroundings. They learn to climb trees safely and build dens using tarpaulins and ropes.

My son is just about to finish his journey in nursery and start school in September! He has attended this nursery for the past 2 years since we moved to crowthorne and has loved it from the start! I was worried about moving him when he was so settled in his last nursery but I needn’t have worried! The staff are amazing, very caring and genuinely love the kids they look after! Special shout out to Natalie, Eleanor and Ceollaidh who have been amazing at getting to know our Son and helping him settle, as well as helping getting him ready for school! The wider family events that the nursery run for the families have also been lovely and despite my daughter not attending this nursery - she has also felt part of her brothers nursery journey!

My daughter has been going to Kids Inc in Crowthorne since September 2022, and I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone. All members of staff make you and your child feel welcome, cared for, and appreciated. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with friendly faces at reception who stop to make the time to familiarise themselves with you and your child, to walking into the nursery room to be welcomed with genuine caring staff members and a beaming smile from my daughter in return. Over the last year, my daughter has hit many pivotal milestones, taking her first steps, making her first pictures and developing her language skills- but I feel so in touch and updated with regular videos and pictures to keep me from feeling that I’m not missing out. Every key worker my daughter has had I couldn’t speak more highly of them. This genuinely is a fantastic nursery, one which will put your child first and I know my daughter has made many friends, has lots of fun and has even learnt more songs, has a better appetite than at home and can comfortably nap there too!

Such a wonderful nursery. The staff do an amazing job and they really do care so deeply for the children. They take such time to make each child feel special and unique and nothing is ever too much trouble. My little one loves going and always greets me with huge smiles at the end of the day. The only thing that could improve is the utilisation of the app. We only get pictures maybe once or twice a month and most other nurseries do them daily to show parents what their child is up to. If they could achieve daily photos (even videos) that would be amazing. It’s so nice to be able to see more of what they get up to.

I cannot fault anything at this nursery. My eldest has been here since she was a baby after moving a different setting where she had not settled. She has loved it here and is so happy that my youngest is already on the waiting list. I cannot recommend highly enough the staff are so caring, food is great and activities are fascinating for little minds.

Fantastic nursery. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and helped my son settle in. They do a lot of activities both indoor and outside and he has developed so much since being there. Would highly recommend 😊
