Kids Planet Salford Quays provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-4 years, operating Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm all year round. The nursery prides itself on fostering strong relationships with children and their families, ensuring every child feels safe and secure.
The learning environment is thoughtfully designed to encourage exploration, investigation, and physical activity, particularly valuing outdoor play given that many children may not have garden space at home. Parents frequently comment on their children becoming more sociable and talkative since attending. The team is highly attentive to individual needs, with a special educational needs coordinator and staff vigilant for any developmental delays, promptly implementing support plans and collaborating with parents and other agencies to ensure all children, including those with SEND, make progress from their unique starting points.
Partnership with parents is a cornerstone of the nursery's approach, with excellent communication and shared activities to support learning at home. Furthermore, children are encouraged to engage with their local community and learn about diverse cultures, even participating in activities like caring for bees.

Inclusion & environment
Young children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. The special educational needs coordinator and staff team are alert to any signs of delay in children's development. They swiftly put in place a support package to ensure that children do not fall behind in their learning and development. The setting works with parents and other agencies to ensure that appropriate and timely support is acquired for all children who need it. As a result, all children are making progress from their different starting points.
The learning environment is intentionally designed to entice babies and children to explore, investigate and be physically active. Many children do not have a garden space at home, so staff make sure that children have lots of opportunities to play and learn outdoors.
Yesterday was my daughter's first day at Nursery, the staff at kids planet was simply amazing.. they were incredibly supportive fully understanding Kiyanas needs and kept me updated throughout the day, (they did not get tired with my multiple check in calls) I highly recommend them. Thank you to all the amazing staff in baby room.. you truly made our first day much easier and so kindly supported all our emotions the day brought xx
Read on GoogleThis is a fantastic nursery with really kind and friendly staff. They are always reassuring and supportive when discussing our general anxieties. My child has specific health concerns and nursery manager, Amina, was happy to put in place bespoke mitigations. And a special thanks to Ellen and Tierre for everything!
Read on GoogleKids Planet Salford Quays is truly an outstanding nursery! It’s not the closest one to us, but after visiting several nurseries and having worked in childcare myself, I instantly knew this was the right place for my son. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming, calm, and full of positive energy. The level of care and attention the staff give to each child is honestly amazing. The management team, Amina and Amy, are absolutely wonderful — always professional, kind, and genuinely understanding. You can tell they really care about every single child and family. They’re always approachable and go above and beyond to make sure parents feel supported and heard. My son has a speech delay, but since joining Kids Planet Salford Quays, he has made such incredible progress. His confidence has grown so much, and he’s started speaking more and interacting beautifully with the other children. It’s lovely to see how much the staff encourage and celebrate every milestone. A massive thank you to the lovely ladies in the toddler room — Donna, Olivia, Zara, Chloe, and Umaima. They are truly amazing at what they do! They’ve been so patient, caring, and understanding from day one. At first, my son was a bit unsettled and nervous about starting nursery, but thanks to their warmth and support, he now absolutely loves going in every day. He always comes home happy, and that says everything about the love and dedication they put into their work. The communication from the nursery is excellent too. We love receiving updates through the Famly app — it’s such a joy to see pictures, daily notes, and activities showing what he’s been learning and exploring. You can tell how much thought and effort goes into planning fun, educational, and engaging experiences for the children. I can’t thank the team enough for everything they do. The environment is so clean, safe, and full of creativity. Every staff member is friendly and welcoming, and they’ve created a lovely family atmosphere where children are encouraged to be confident, curious, and happy. Choosing Kids Planet Salford Quays has honestly been one of the best decisions we’ve made. The difference we’ve seen in our son is amazing, and we couldn’t be happier. I would 100% recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a place that truly cares and helps children thrive in every way
Read on GoogleWe’ve had a really good experience at this nursery and can’t thank the team enough for the care and compassion they are showing our 2.5 year old son. He joined after a bad experience at another setting, and understandably took time to adjust. But from the very beginning, the staff here have been patient, kind and incredibly supportive. Even with a busy environment and lots of children to care for, they’ve managed to do their best to help my son settle in. They’ve gotten to know his likes and interests, and are building on that. One of the biggest differences we’ve noticed is how thoughtful the team is when it comes to food. Our son is a picky eater and still getting used to nursery meals. Instead of letting him go hungry, the staff have tried different alternatives — toast, fruit, finger foods — anything to make sure he has something to eat. It’s that kind of personalised care that really reassured us as parents. The activities are also fantastic — creative, stimulating and tailored to the children’s age group. We’ve seen such positive changes in our son’s confidence, social interaction and overall wellbeing since starting here. There have been natural ups and downs as he’s adjusted, but the team have always communicated openly and worked with us. We feel truly grateful for the effort they’ve put in and would absolutely recommend this nursery to other parents. Thank you to all the staff in the Toddlers room, you’re doing an amazing job. I can’t thank you enough, I know more than anyone what a big job / big responsibility it is to take care of children, especially within that age group where they are still finding themselves and trying to make sense of the world. Your work speaks for itself, I know it’s not easy but you are all wonderful!
Read on GoogleI would not recommend Kids Planet Salford. They discriminate against children with additional needs and do not provide the support or inclusion that families should be able to expect. Instead of making reasonable adjustments, they make children and parents feel like a burden. This is not acceptable in any childcare setting. If your child has additional needs, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
