About this day nursery

Kids Planet Wallasey Nursery provides care for children from birth to two years old. It was judged Outstanding by Ofsted at its inspection in August 2022. The inspector noted that the setting is designed as a dedicated baby unit, with calm, neutral areas for children to learn through their senses. Children are encouraged to develop their independence by feeding themselves and helping to put on their outdoor suits. The provision also includes activities such as baby massage.

There is daily access to the outdoors, with children playing outside in all weathers. Staff take children on regular trips to the local beach and park, and on walks within the community. Ofsted reported that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities develop very well, with staff working closely with parents and external agencies to meet individual needs. The day nursery operates all year round, from Monday to Friday, between 7.30am and 6pm.

Staff have a strong understanding of children's individual needs and the next steps they need to achieve their goals. They work closely with parents and external agencies, and parents express how supportive the staff are.

Outdoor space

Children particularly enjoy the outdoor environment, playing outdoors in all weathers and accessing fresh air daily. Children are taken out regularly in the local area to visit the beach and the park. On occasions such as Easter, babies venture out on walks in the community to hand out Easter eggs to the local people.

Brilliant nursery. Wouldn't want my child anywhere else! I've noticed a massive positive change within my son, his speech and social skills have improved as has his understanding of things.

A disgrace for service. This is if Starbucks did nurseries. No personal touch, all remote communication from Head Quarters - no longer a "local" nursery. If you wanted to grade Harrison - 5 stars. What it has become under Kids Planet is horrible to see. I'm so pleased that we are done with this organisation.
