How they support every child

SEND provision

Children who need extra help are identified very quickly. Staff sensitively support children who may struggle at times, for example when following the nursery routines and expected behaviours. Staff are patient and calm in their interactions and follow plans to provide support. They work tirelessly with external professionals and use appropriate strategies to help to close any gaps in children's development.

Outdoor space

Children participate in rich, hands-on activities as part of forest school. They visit the beach to explore and investigate sea life and nature. The inspector observed practice and interactions between staff and children across all rooms and the outdoor area.

Our little boy has had the most amazing experience at New Brighton Day Nursery. The staff are fantastic; very caring, fun and exceptionally creative and it's clear each member of staff has a real passion for child-led development. We love the activities that the kids get involved in, day trips to the beach, visits to the care home, pets as therapy dog visits, yoga, fitness sessions, music, forest school and much much more - it really is an exciting place to learn and develop. Also; the gardens are superb, the facilities inside and out are excellent and all the kids have endless amounts of fun. Quite often it's a struggle to get out little boy to come home! Highly recommend this Nursery, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely fabulous nursery the facilities are amazing and the staff are amazing in all of the rooms. My so is now four and going to school in September he has really enjoyed his time at the nursery and he has built fantastic bonds and relationships with both children and staff. We were so impressed with how much he has enjoyed his time here and how the staff have interacted with is as parents that we have now enrolled our younger son and he is due to start in little stars and we can't wait to begin his nursery journey.

This place is exceptional in every way and I cant recommend it enough! All the staff are so friendly, helpful, and brilliant with the children. Our daughter has thrived under their care. The facilities are outstanding and they keep bringing new ideas to keep the children engaged. The app updates are great so you can keep up to date on all the fantastic activities the children have been up to - trips to the park, to the pet shop, the farm, world book day to name but a few. Our daughter loves her time there and has formed lovely relationships with both the staff and the other children in her class. I cant recommend this place highly enough.

Our little boy absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff are amazing and have looked after both him and us throughout his time with them. The environment is brilliant, and the handyman does an amazing job making new features and activity spaces in the garden for the children to have fun with. We would have no hesitation in recommending New Brighton Day Nursery to anyone.

Having viewed many nursery settings prior to NBDN, we were anxious about finding the right one for our 3 year old daughter, particularly as this would have been the first time she had entered the nursery setting. As soon as I was met by Vikki and heard about the nursery's ethos, smaller numbers and focus on child development we knew this was the one. All staff ensured that she had a gentle settling in process, from her key worker to the chef catering to specific dietary requirements. A huge thank you to all in the caterpillar room for making Olive's time such an memorable one and caring for her as if she was their own.
