Kirk Hammerton Nursery School, located in the picturesque village of Kirk Hammerton, North Yorkshire, has been a pillar of early childhood education for over 50 years. The day nursery caters to children aged two to four, offering a nurturing and joyful environment that prioritises individual needs and development.
Despite having spacious facilities, the day nursery intentionally maintains low numbers, with a maximum of 30 places annually and typically no more than 16 children per session, ensuring personalised attention. Places are allocated based on the child's date of birth, and children can begin attending after their second birthday.
The school welcomes all children, including those with disabilities and special educational needs, leveraging extensive experience to support these children and their families. To explore admission, prospective families are invited for an out-of-hours visit, allowing them to bring their entire family and discuss their child's specific requirements and suitable session options.
The nursery creates a customised settling-in plan for each child, fostering a smooth transition into the nursery environment.
