Parents are very complimentary about the staff. They fully appreciate the efforts of staff to support their children and family.
Inclusion & environment
The curriculum is planned well to meet the needs of individual children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The staff and the manager assess children's progress to identify any delays or gaps in children's development as soon as possible. Staff use sign language and visual aid cards with pictures to help non-verbal children understand.
Pre-school children take appropriate risks and challenges as they play. They climb up the slide and jump onto a large soft cushion, closely supervised by staff. The inspector observed children during activities, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning.
Please do not send your child here. (I have to give one star in order to post a review) Sending my child to this setting will always be my biggest regret. What was once a confident, secure two year old became withdrawn and visibly shaken during our time there. Throughout our experience, we witnessed deeply concerning behaviour from staff. Staff members regularly shouted at one another and at children. The environment felt intimidating rather than nurturing. There have been previous complaints about this setting, and during our time there we personally observed multiple safeguarding concerns, including: • Children being able to open the door and let anyone members of the public they do not know into the building. • Parents appearing intoxicated collecting children and driving away without staff intervention. • Staff shouting at children. • Staff shouting across rooms while children were sleeping, waking them abruptly and in distress. • the same two meals on repeat which are jacket potato’s and Costco chicken nuggets, with the odd pasta thrown in. • Broken and damaged outdoor play equipment, which resulted in injury. • Staff members leaving suddenly without explanation. • staff bullying each other • Children appearing fearful of being told off. • Children being ridiculed for normal developmental behaviours such as potty accidents, spilling food, or being loud. This setting knows how to behave during show arounds for parents but quickly let their guard down. When concerns were raised, they were not handled through proper procedure. Instead, children were “de-registered,” yet funding was still reportedly claimed as though they were attending. In our experience, the welfare of the children did not appear to be the priority. There are numerous complaints surrounding this setting, and I strongly urge other parents to avoid this company.
Read on GoogleThe most caring and loving staff any parent could hope for. They are well trained in early education and they know what they're doing. Lots of care and support. My little boy loves to go to nursery and seems so happy to be there, which alone says a lot. The open setting is brilliant. You don't feel like your child will stay trapped in one closed room all day!
Read on GoogleI have been using ladybirds nursery as a parent for nearly 10 years. The staff are worth their weight in gold! My 9 month old has been going since she was 3 months old and she is thriving.. My son who is 9 used to attend from being a baby, he was actually diagnosed with a rare disabilIity at 2 and without the ladybirds staff we might not have got this as they were following his progress so closely it was apparent he wasn’t meeting mainstream milestones. After his diagnosis they helped him every step of the way and he still went to both the nursery and holiday club until just last year. He was welcomed with open arms and he loved it! The turnover of staff is very low and everyone is so friendly, Communication is great too - my life would have been very different without Ladybird Nursery.
