Lea Pre-School & Kids Club, situated within the Frances Olive Anderson Church of England Primary School in Lea, near Gainsborough, provides childcare for children aged 2 to 5 years in its Pre-School and up to 11 years in its Kids Club. The Pre-School operates from 8 am to 6 pm, offering full-day care, while also running a breakfast club and after-school club for children attending Lea School.
During school holidays, a holiday club is available for all local families. The Pre-School room is a bright and welcoming space, designed to support children aged two to school age.

What it's like to attend

Inspector highlights
- The management team reflects on staff's practice and identifies ways to further promote children's learning and safety.
- Staff have implemented robust procedures to ensure that they accurately identify what children need to learn next and how to share this information with the staff team.
- Staff implement a curriculum to support children to be independent. For example, older children use knives to spread butter on toast, pour their own drinks and select fruit they would like to eat for a snack.
- Children's communication and language skills are supported well by staff, who introduce new words to extend their vocabulary.
- Children develop their understanding of how plants and vegetables grow, with parents invited to plant seeds and children learning about the process from ground to plate.

We feel so lucky to have this nursery nearby. From the very beginning, the staff have been kind, patient, and genuinely caring. There are always fun and creative activities. The healthy meals and focus on good habits are wonderful, and they’ve been amazing with potty training. Communication with parents is excellent, we always feel involved and supported. My daughter is bilingual and used to be nervous about speaking, but she’s grown so much in confidence here. She absolutely loves going to nursery now and comes home full of stories and smiles. We’re so grateful!
