How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported by the manager and staff, who work with other professionals to provide targeted support and equipment for individual needs.

Outdoor space

Improvements have been made to the outdoor area, including the addition of a sandpit inside the playhouse to encourage social skills. Children are able to take and manage risks, such as climbing wooden ladders.

EAL / language support

The report highlights that some children who speak English as an additional language do not receive sufficient support for their language development or to understand daily routines, as staff do not systematically gather information about all children's home languages.

Our little girl is 2½ and in the Snails room, joining in April. She's come out of her shell so much more confident but still her sweet, shy self. The whole team is so friendly, kind, & caring, from her 2-3 room to her new one. They greet the children like their own &are always happy to chat. The manager & key workers are so approachable, giving real peace of mind. The meals are amazing, &I love the recipe cards to use at home! The activities are fantastic, &seeing them out in their little high-vis jackets melts my heart. The app is brilliant, great photos, updates, &communication.I know how hard the industry is, &I can't thank the staff enough for showing up each day with so much love. Our daughter adores nursery, no more "I don't want to go," now it's "Can my teacher come for tea?" That says it all.I would recommend Riverside Day Nursery a thousand times over. As a parent, I'll probably always worry, but I know when my little girl is in their hands, she's safe, happy, and thriving.
