We had the pleasure of working with Shan for 24 months in preparation for our son's 11+ exams, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the very first session, Shan and her team impressed us with their engaging teaching style and their ability to connect with our son, who was initially quite anxious about the tests. Her approach is both patient and dynamic. She quickly identified our son’s strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring her lessons accordingly. This personalized focus not only boosted his understanding of subjects like math and English but also significantly increased his confidence. By the time the exams came around, he was not only well-prepared but also excited to take them. One of the standout aspects of Shan’s tutoring is her open communication. Our three sons have all had two years of tutoring with Learn Log for the 11+ tests. Shan and the team know exactly how to prepare children thoroughly. It's a lot of work but from our experience it has been very positive, with all three of our sons being well prepared. I would have no hesitation in recommending Learn Log to other families who are approaching the 11+ tests.

Overall my son had a positive experience over the two years that he attended (since he started year 4). He felt supported and encouraged by the team and was able to grow and learn without fear of failure or disappointment. We feel Shan has worked incredibly hard to build a holistic and effective learning environment that allows students to focus, develop and improve their skills in their own time but also maintaining good academic performance.

Update No 2 (2023): I am now a proud mother, my last child, my little daughter, whom I spent very little time with because of a hectic house move, also passed and got her first choice. Thank you once again Learnlog Team, you are fabulous. Update (2021): My son passed with 95% the Kent exam and got into Dartford Grammar School. Hats off to LearnLog 11 plus Teamand especally Shan. I cannot recommend this place enough. I always tell other parents at my kids' school to send them to Shan and her team at LearnLog. It is a group lesson, but decent in size, and Miss Shan's individual, methodical and thorough approach has made my son make a lot of progress as he is studying towards his 11+. She shows genuine concern for the children. Unlike many tutors, Shan is a qualified and experienced Secondary School Teacher and a qualified Exam assessor (I checked). She has had amazing results in previous years with her 11+ cohorts (I know some of those children). Decent class sizes and she often has extra helpers to work with smaller groups. I am also really grateful that she found a way to continue lessons online with smaller groups during the lockdown. Much Recommended.

I can't recommend Shan from Learn Log enough . The enthusiasm my son has for the subject speaks volumes about the engaging and relatable teaching style Shan applies in every class. Even the most challenging material is made accessible through the breakdown of complex concepts into easily digestible parts Shan's distinctive quality lies in the personal touch she brings into her classes. It's evident that she takes the time to understand each student's unique learning style, tailoring her approach to meet their individual needs. I am truly thankful to Shan for creating an environment for my son where he feels supported and valued.
