Lime Tree Nursery, located in Rotherham, aims to provide a nurturing and secure environment where children, families, and staff feel esteemed and encouraged to learn and grow together. The curriculum focuses on preparing children socially, academically, and emotionally for school by promoting curious minds and a sense of wonder. The nursery is committed to inclusivity, adapting its care to meet the individual needs of all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), with a dedicated SEND team providing additional support and guidance.
Lime Tree Nursery emphasises outdoor play in all weather conditions and offers local trips to help children learn about their community. The nursery is part of a group with multiple locations across Barnsley, Rotherham, and Worksop, all sharing a vision to provide a rich and happy start to early years education with a focus on long-life skills and a sense of belonging.
Our ethos
Our ethos here at Lime Tree Nurseries’, is to help lay the foundations for a full, enriched, and happy start to each one of our children’s early years and education. We strive to provide the children with long life skills which they need to thrive throughout their lives, all while giving them a sense of belonging, encouraging self-independence, confidence, and the ability to spread kindness. Incorporating curiosity and awe and wonder into our nursery life encourages the children to become more adventurous and explore happiness and enjoyment within a nurturing environment.

Children do well in this warm and stimulating nursery, thoroughly enjoying well-planned activities and making good overall progress, including those with SEND. They are safe, secure, and form strong bonds with staff, developing curiosity and problem-solving skills.
Fees are invoiced monthly in advance and must be paid before the 25th of each month. No charges are applied for bank holidays, but full fees remain payable during sickness absence.

Inclusion & environment
Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), are well prepared for their future learning. Staff strongly support children with SEND, identifying gaps early and working closely with professionals like speech therapists to plan future learning. They use additional funding for things like sign language and singing sessions to help early speaking skills.
Children have the opportunity to be physically active throughout the day, and they enjoy yoga and gymnastics.
This is a great nursery and encourage children to learn at own pace they have great communication with the children and parents
