About this day nursery

Lingfield Nursery School, located near Lingfield, Surrey, offers a distinctive childcare experience set within 14 acres of farmland. The day nursery aims to provide a warm, friendly, and enjoyable setting where each child's individual personality and needs are met.

The curriculum and daily activities are designed to foster strong relationships between children and staff, promoting a sense of security and confidence. Children benefit from extensive outdoor access, including opportunities to plant and grow in an allotment area, and interact with friendly farm animals.

The nursery operates a full-day care model with a minimum attendance requirement of two full days per week. The staff are committed to continuous professional development, with twice-yearly early closures for training to ensure practices are up-to-date.

In addition to daily care, the nursery provides an "enhanced package" which covers meals, snacks, consumables like nappies and sun cream, and access to additional on-site facilities, recognising that government funding does not fully cover these essential provisions.

This is a warning review to anyone that considers booking a place with this nursery. After a viewing we asked for availability, we were told that availability couldn't be offered without paying £150 deposit and a £50 admin fee. Upon making the payment, we were offered 1 day a week from September, 3 days a week in October and 1 day a week in November-Feb. How is that helpful? After waiting several months and chasing for positive news, we were informed that nothing had changed. We asked for a refund and only received £150 back. It's cost us £50 to establish their availability. No other nursery operates in this way. This nursery needs to be more up front and transparent.
