30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, excluding only two weeks during Christmas. The nursery received a "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on March 19, 2024.

Children enthusiastically arrive at the nursery, where they are met with a warm and friendly welcome, quickly forming secure emotional attachments with staff. This supportive environment helps them to feel safe, settle quickly, and engage happily in a broad range of learning opportunities tailored to their individual stages and interests.

The dedicated staff constantly monitor children's progress, promptly identifying and addressing any developmental gaps. They work closely with other professionals and provide exceptional support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, ensuring full inclusion in nursery life.

Recognising children's natural love for being outdoors, Little Acorns Nursery offers a well-resourced garden where children can freely explore and develop physical skills. For instance, they enjoy digging for worms with tools and balancing on planks placed on tyres and crates, fostering exploration and confidence.

The passionate manager and owner are committed to continuous improvement, regularly working directly in the nursery to offer staff support and guidance. This commitment ensures that children benefit from high-quality care and a stimulating learning environment, preparing them well for their transition to school.

The nursery also provides wrap-around care for children attending the host school.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff constantly monitor children's progress and swiftly identify and support children who have gaps in their development. They make timely referrals and work in close partnership with other professionals. Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities exceptionally well to ensure that they are fully included into nursery life.

Outdoor space

Staff recognise that many children love being outside. They enable children to freely access the well-resourced garden, which helps children to thrive and develop great confidence in their physical skills. For example, children use tools to dig for worms and balance on planks, which they strategically place on tyres, large industrial cotton reels and crates.
