Little Acorns Nursery in Aldbourne provides early years education with an admissions process designed to be straightforward for families. Prospective parents are encouraged to make an early enquiry and book a visit to experience the day nursery firsthand, as spaces are often reserved well in advance.

Following an enquiry and visit, families can submit an application form. If immediate spaces are unavailable, children can be placed on a waiting list.

Upon an offer of admission, parents have two weeks to accept the place, which involves reviewing and signing the day nursery's Terms and Conditions and paying a registration fee. Prior to their child's start date, an enrolment form is completed to gather essential details like emergency contacts and medical information to ensure a smooth and confident transition into nursery life, supported by carefully planned settling-in sessions.

How they support every child

Outdoor space

Children confidently explore the environment both indoors and outdoors. Older children form a line and patiently wait for staff to count them before they come in from the garden. They independently climb the steps to use the slide and confidently control fishing rods to hook and scoop objects out of the water tray.

We love Little Acorns and are now on our second child attending. Both have had a lovely and varied time with amazing care and love. The setting is wonderful and they make full use of the village facilities nearby. Annual highlights are the nativity under the barn outside and sports day in the school field. It's so magical to see them develop from strength to strength.

Wonderful nursery and staff who genuinely care and build bonds with your little one. My two children have both attended this nursery and, although they’re very different personalities, both have flourished and seem so happy with their time there. Very grateful to have had little acorns as part of our family journey, the ladies who run the place are truly wonderful.

We have been with this nursery for over 4 years now and they’ve been brilliant with our children. The staff are amazing (my daughter talks about them all the time!). They do lots of fun activities… loads of crafty bits, bug hunting etc in the garden, and even French lessons! All in all this is a fabulous nursery.

Lovely nursery, great at settling in my daughter who loves attending there. Staff are all great full of knowledge and great at keeping you updated on your little ones progress. Sam the manager runs a great team.
