Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported very well in this inclusive setting. Leaders and staff are aware of children's individual needs, making adaptations such as adding a ramp to the outdoors and creating a sensory area. The special educational needs coordinator has excellent knowledge and supports staff in creating plans for children, and funding is used effectively for one-to-one support and a sensory room. Staff work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure exceptional support for children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Most children benefit from opportunities to access a purpose-built outdoor area, which supports their physical development. Older children use the well-resourced outdoor area for active play and to develop physical skills such as climbing and balancing. However, there are limited opportunities for babies and younger children to access the outdoor environment to further challenge their physical skills.
