How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are thoroughly supported. The special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) ensures that children with SEND have effective development plans in place. Staff use strategies, including visual cue cards, to help children understand the routine and expectations for their behaviour. There is active engagement with outside agencies, including health professionals, which helps children with SEND to make progress and prepare for the transition when they leave nursery and move on to school.

Outdoor space

The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact on children's learning.

We're very happy that we chose Little Pioneers Newbiggin Hall for our son. The staff are kind, friendly and professional. The rooms are well-equipped and the food is healthy and delicious. Our eldest son started in the baby room aged 13 months. Although it was really hard to leave him, the staff were reassuring and he has always settled quickly. Two years on and he still loves nursery and will soon be joined by his little brother. Thank you to all the staff at Little Pioneers for taking such good care of our baby!

This nursery is completely irresponsible, and it is the worst nursery I had never came throw. My son was enrolled there from 11/23 to 9/24, and from the first day, we told them that he needed to be referred to a speech therapy . We contacted them many times, and they kept saying, "Your son is on the waiting list and we had refferd him " Suddenly when he started school. The teacher noticed that his performance was not good, and she asked about that referral then I discovered that my son was never referred to the speech therapy in this nursery and I used to ask them and always they used to say "" yea it is long queue"""" and they didnt refer him ...... The GP and the Health Visitor contacted the nursery three or four times, but they ignored ..... My son has been suffering because of this nursery..I should wait from the beginningggggg

Our little girl has attended Little Pioneers Newbiggin Hall for over 2yrs now and she absolutely loves it. The nursery practitioners not only take good care of her they also make sure she enjoys her learning making everything fun. The variation of activities and seasonal events are just amazing for the little ones. She is coming on leaps with the support and guidance of the nursery staff. We are forever grateful to you all.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 2 year old and is now getting ready to go into reception. The staff have always made me feel comfortable when dropping off and there communication is always amazing , I can see everything my son has done throughout the day though my parent zone app. My son loves all of the staff members even say they are his best friends .. he will be sad to leave ready for big school in September. Highly recommend to anyone looking for childcare for their little ones

My son started this nursery in June this year, being a lockdown baby I get very anxious about leaving him. All the staff members have went above and beyond for my son & I love seeing updates throughout the day through my Parent Zone app. Oliver becomes so excited when I walk towards the nursery doors. The nursery itself is immaculate, resources are amazing & management team are also accommodating and friendly booking my son in extra when needed. Very professional friendly staff who treat my son as if he is their own child. I highly recommend. I viewed several in the area & no other nursery comes close.
