Little Blossoms Childcare at Harmanswater offers a nurturing and stimulating preschool environment for children aged 2 to 5 years. Operating during term time, the preschool is open Monday to Friday, providing both sessional and full-day care options.
The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, with a strong emphasis on child-led learning and individual development. Each child is supported by a dedicated key worker who fosters a close bond and guides their journey, ensuring a smooth transition into preschool and continuous progress monitoring through regular parent meetings.
The setting promotes independence and self-care, creating a safe and engaging atmosphere where diversity is valued. Children participate in social snack times, bringing their own healthy snacks, and are encouraged to prepare and serve their food.
The preschool also integrates outdoor exploration into its activities, often visiting local parks and fields, allowing children to engage with wildlife and their natural surroundings. Collaboration with parents and carers is central to Little Blossoms' ethos, aiming to help children flourish through play.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported particularly well. Every small achievement that children make is celebrated and shared. Staff work with parents and other professionals to provide continuous support to help children to make progress in their learning. They take time and careful consideration to plan for and provide effective experiences.
Staff provide a wide range of play experiences, both inside and outside. They encourage children to transport resources to extend their learning. For example, staff encourage older children to use a book to identify insects and bugs in the garden. They enthusiastically invite younger children into the hunt and tell them each insect's name.
