Little Butterflies Day Nursery in Fremington, near Barnstaple and Bideford, offers a family-centred and nurturing environment where children from 0-11 years old can learn and thrive through play. The nursery prioritises safety and enjoyment, providing a stimulating and challenging range of age-appropriate activities both indoors and in their beautiful garden area.
They encourage curiosity and help children develop self-confidence and self-esteem, fostering a positive attitude towards learning. The nursery promotes British Values and respectful interactions among children.
They also offer an open-door policy, welcoming parents and carers to discuss their child's development at any time. Additional services include Magical Tots Dancing, swimming lessons, and breakfast and after-school clubs for local schools.
The friendly and fully qualified team is passionate about children's progress and works to support families in their child's development.

The manager and her staff team have devised a curriculum that enables them to decide on children's next steps and plan for them accordingly. All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress and are well prepared for school.
The nursery offers weekly Stay and Play sessions on Thursday mornings. Fees are charged on a pay-as-you-go basis per session.

Parents report that they are kept well informed about their children's learning and development.
They appreciate the opportunities their children take part in. For example, they have swimming lessons and trips to the park, the beach and nearby attractions.
Inclusion & environment
All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress. Children with SEND are given targeted support to help them move on in their learning. Staff follow advice from outside agencies and regularly spend time with individual children.
Children develop good physical skills as they explore the well-equipped garden. Children balance, climb and navigate safe pathways on wheeled toys.
