Inspector highlights
Inclusion & environment
Staff work successfully with parents and outside agencies to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Children make excellent progress because staff know them well. Staff identify individual needs. They use simple visual timetables to help children understand their daily routines. Children bring comfort items from home to help them feel secure.
The nursery provides a breadth of opportunities for children to develop their physical skills. Babies enjoy relaxing on the indoor swing. They learn to balance on wooden ramps. Older children learn to pedal on the tricycles. Children cooperate with their friends, balancing large tyres to climb onto and jump off. Staff support children to risk assess their own play in a safe way.
Children who speak English as an additional language receive high levels of support. Parents record simple phrases in an electronic photo album, and staff learn key words to allow children to hear their home language. This helps children to communicate and to feel understood.
Little buttons nursery has been the best thing to happen to both my children. They act as my children’s extra family and offer such a caring and nurturing touch during their upbringing. My children absolutely love going to nursery here. I equally love it as I feel confident that all the staff have my children’s best interests at heart, something that makes it that little bit easier to drop them off every morning!
Read on GoogleWe absolutely love little buttons.. they’ve always taken care of our son as if he’s their own. Over the last year it’s transpired he has autism and GDD and they have adopted it all and do their best to satisfy his needs. His key worker is amazing with him. We couldn’t ask for anymore from them.

They love her as their own and she loves them just as much. It’s home from home and just all round amazing. Il be gutted when she leaves next year.
